The 2025 scholarship application period has passed.
Applications will reopen on April 25th, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be considered, applicants must be in pursuit of earning a degree or certification in one of the following fields: Firefighting, Law Enforcement, Nursing or Pre-med, or EMT. They must also email a 500 to 1000 word essay on their reason for pursuing an education in one of the related fields along with what your career plans are to: essay@tyworden.com, and submit the application form below.

Details:

2025 will be our second year offering this scholarship and we will award a minimum of $750 with each recipient receiving between $250 and $500 for the fall semester. The application deadline this year is September 30th. Awards will be mailed directly to the school, or to the student directed as tuition payment to the school.

2025 Timeline:

October 16th – 31st: Scholarship Award Notifications and Distributions
