Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must plan to attend a college in Rock County, WI in pursuit of earning a degree or certification in one of the following fields:

• Firefighting

• EMT

• Law Enforcement

• Nursing or Pre-Med

2025 will be our second year offering this scholarship and we will award a total of $500 with each recipient receiving between $100 and $500 for the fall semester. The application deadline this year is September 30th. Awards will be mailed directly to the school, or to the student directed as tuition payment to the school.

Each applicant must:

• Be accepted into Blackhawk Technical College or a college within Rock County, WI.

• Email a 500 to 1000 word essay on your reasons for pursuing an education in one of the related fields along with what your career plans are to: essay@tyworden.com.

• Complete and submit the application form below.
