Sportsmanship Award

This annual award seeks to recognize outstanding sportsmanship in youth league baseball. Since 2019, we have awarded a custom Louisville Slugger Prime baseball bat to some of the many exceptional baseball players in our community. The Tyberius Worden Sportsmanship Award celebrates the timeless values of sportsmanship, character, and passion for baseball. The award recognizes those who embody the spirit of fair play, integrity, and respect both on and off the field the same way he did.

Ty had an unwavering dedication to baseball, coupled with a profound understanding of the importance of sportsmanship and character. He exemplified the highest standards of conduct, demonstrating grace in victory, humility in defeat, and respect for opponents, teammates, coaches, and officials. His love for the game was infectious, and his character left an indelible impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

This award seeks to honor individuals who display exceptional sportsmanship while embracing the values that Ty believed in and practiced. We celebrate those who view baseball not merely as a competitive arena but as a platform for personal growth, camaraderie, and the cultivation of lifelong skills. To date we have awarded fourteen remarkable players with our annual sportsmanship award.
